Carvertise Opens 15,000-Square-Foot Riverfront Headquarters

New World-Class Facility Offers Room for Growth as Company Continues Impressive Trajectory

June 7, 2023, Wilmington, DE. — Carvertise, the nation’s leading rideshare advertising company, will celebrate the grand opening of its new,15,000-square-foot headquarters in Wilmington’s Riverfront on Thursday, June 15, at a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by CEO Mac Macleod. The stunning new modern industrial space provides ample room to grow for a company that’s had to move numerous times since it was founded 10 years ago.

Locating the right space and developing it was a multi-year project, according to Macleod, who cofounded the company with Greg Star while the two were students at the University of Delaware. “It feels good to finally have an established headquarters that we can proudly call home for years to come,” he says.

Carvertise, which occupies a spot on the Inc. 5000 list, has been bursting at the seams, growing from 20 employees in 2021 to 30 employees in 2022; it will close out 2023 with 60 employees. One big driver of the company’s growth is the popularity of its new “SWARM Events” feature, where fleets of branded vehicles are deployed where there are very large gatherings of people, including sporting events, concerts, and festivals. The company also made several key new executive hires in the past year and charted 55% year-over-year sales growth in 2022, far outpacing the growth of Out-of-Home media category.

And although Carvertise serves clients like Coca-Cola, Netflix, NBCUniversal, and 7-11 and has forged relationships with top media buyers across the country, Macleod says the company’s commitment to growing its headquarters in Delaware is both strategic and purposeful. It’s a strategic move in that Carvertise is easily accessible for all of its employees who reside in greater Philadelphia, Southern Delaware, New Jersey and Eastern Maryland – where the company recruits most of its centralized operations, marketing, and engineering team members. And potential recruits take notice that the Riverfront location is a beautiful spot where amenities are top-of-mind, parking is plentiful, and recreation for employees – be it a jaunt to Constitution Yards or a bike trip down the Markell Trail —is easily accessible.

Macleod says growing Carvertise’s headquarters in Wilmington is also purposeful, as Delaware was the company’s birthplace. “This area is the heart and soul of our organization, and we’re excited to invest and grow in the community that grew and shaped us,” he says “It feels right”. The new location, which carries a 10-year-lease, was renovated top to bottom with architects Mitchell & Associates. It features an inviting lobby, a high-tech kitchen space, private phone booths, and multiple collaborative areas. Employees can enjoy numerous nearby amenities, including coffee shops, restaurants, and a local gym.

Macleod believes the new space will help the company stay ahead of the curve with its recruiting efforts. “Given the highly competitive nature of today’s marketplace, our new state-of-the-art facility gives us a leg up in attracting top talent,” he says.

It bears noting that the new headquarters has the capacity for 150 employees — nearly triple Carvertise’s current level. Say Macleod: “We chose this facility with significant growth in mind. Our goal is to reach maximum capacity. And I have no doubt we will get there in the near future.”
