Carveritse is an advertising company that pays everyday drivers to place removable advertisements on their cars.
Applying is simple. Interested drivers visit Carvertise.com and click on “Become a driver” on the top right-hand side of the webpage. It is a quick and simple application that allows Carvertise to better understand your driving patterns.
No. This service is free to join and always will be.
- Drive at least 25 miles / day.
- Clean driving record.
- Own a 2005 model car or newer.
- Factory finish paint job.
This is completely dependent upon our partnering advertisers, and when & where they are looking to run campaigns. As soon as there is a potential match between your driving profile and an interested brand, we will get in touch with you through email.
Qualified drivers earn $100/month for the duration of the campaign. All drivers have to do is drive as they normally would.
The decals are adhesive, made of vinyl specifically used for cars. The vinyl will not damage your car - it comes off very clean and actually protects your cars paint.
It depends upon the campaign, but the majority of the time we do side wraps and the rear window.
Our campaigns typically run anywhere between 3 - 6 months.
Absolutely. We would never want you to display an advert that you are not comfortable or happy with. All our drivers have the right to refuse a particular brand or advertisement if you do not want it on your car.
Each Carvertiser is equivalent to a baseline of 800 miles / month and an average of 100,000 impressions / month. There is slight variability depending upon the size of the geography we are targeting.
Carvertise has partnered with a Traffic Engineering firm that calculates the impression count by overlaying the gps data collected daily from every car, on top of traffic algorithms. Important variables that our model takes into consideration include the average daily traffic count on the roads, the number of lanes, the average load per vehicle, and the time of day. The traffic volume is weighted in consideration with the amount of time the Carvertiser spent on that specific road. Impression counts are aggregated for each Carvertiser and collected daily.
Carvertisers are safe high-mileage drivers in the community who want to make residual income for driving around with a brand on their car. It’s passive side income for doing something they’re already doing – driving. More specifically our Carvertisers are a collection of esteemed community members. They are a collection of nurses, engineers, teachers, etc., who have a consistent driving pattern, are safe drivers, have a 2005 model car or newer, and like and support the brand their driving with.
Carvertise uses a strong deterrent – if our Carvertisers commit an act of reckless or aggressive driving, not only do they get immediately removed from the campaign, they also have to reimburse Carvertise $300.00 for the cost of the decal we put on their car. They registered with Carvertise to make residual income from their commute – not to give money away. They have a strong incentive to not drive carelessly. As a testimonial to that, less than 1% (0.4%) of all Carvertisers have had any issues.
Additionally, Carvertise has created a process called EASI ( pronounced “Easy”) that we use when setting up every campaign. It is an acronym that stands for educate, align, screen, inform.
-Educate - We educate the surrounding community as to what the relationship is between the driver, the brand on the car, and Carvertise. We do this by placing a small Carvertise sticker on the back of every car along with a “How’s my driving” decal. It’s important for viewers to know that this is a Carvertiser carrying a brand on their car. This way the risk of brand reputation being impacted by a Carvertiser falls back on Carvertise, not our partnering brand.
-Align – We align the brand with drivers who are a safe demographic. That means a lot of soccer moms and dads, and not a lot of 18 – 24 year olds.
-Screen – All drivers are background screened and driving record checked. There can be no major infractions committed on either.
-Inform – After Carvertise conducts our interview and screening process, we speak with every one of our car drivers emphasizing the importance of safe driving and representing a brand.
The demographic of driver we select and their driving record decreases the chance of this happening. Inevitably however, drivers are human so every so often this does occur (sometimes justified, sometimes not). The outlet for the driver to report the Carvertiser’s driving behavior is through a uniquely ID’d phone number on the back of their car. When a complaint is received Carvertise notifies the client, and uses our best judgment as to whether the complaint is legitimate (we check the gps data to make sure stories align and also hear from the Carvertiser themselves). If an act of reckless driving was committed, the car driver is immediately removed from the campaign and they have to pay Carvertise $300.00 for the cost of the wrap. Less than 1% of all drivers have ever been reported (.4% to be exact), and only one Carvertiser from that .4% has ever had to have been removed.
Once Carvertise understands where the client does not want their message seen (in addition to the obvious), our representatives explicitly state this to all the participating Carvertisers when they come to our shop to get their car wrapped. We have put hundreds of new Carvertisers on the road and to date this has never been an issue.
If an accident occurs our drivers promptly notify Carvertise which in turn get’s passed back to the client. The decal is removed from the car and a replacement driver is used for the duration of the campaign. This is a rare occurrence as all of our drivers have been screened and vetted to ensure the highest degree of safe driving.
The legal arrangement Carvertise structures with its’ Carvertisers is that of an independent contractor. We contract the right to put our client’s brand (you) on the side of their car. We explicitly state that the Carvertisers are never to drive around for the sake of advertising - this ensures that the Carvertiser’s personal auto-liability coverage stays intact. If an accident occurs, the carvertiser’s personally held auto-liability coverage is in effect because they were driving for personal reasons; not for commercial reasons.
You tell us the geography you’re looking to target and the quantity of Carvertisers you want to include. We’ll select the appropriate Carvertisers that match your criteria.
We do encourage our brand partners to give us marketing material that we can give to your campaign’s Carvertisers. Carvertisers get stopped frequently and asked about the car and the featured brand, so it’s favorable to give curious inquirers a call-to-action. That said, Carvertise is not a guerilla marketing street force program so the Carvertisers are not obligated to go out of their way to pass out material.
Carvertise charges monthly based upon a fixed price per car for every car in your Carvertise campaign. Our CPM falls between $2.50 - $5.75 depending upon the population density of the area we’re targeting. We encourage you to reach out to us for specific pricing regarding your next campaign.
